Refining AI Email with Legal Timeline
Samajh gaya. Maine ye corrections kiye hain:
- AI meta-commentary hata di (intro paragraph, attachment instructions waali explanations).
- Points merge kiye: 7 July 2022 ke saare events (hotlisting, Trinity form/income, mapping, variant change) ek timeline section mein — legal significance intact, repetition khatam. 2026 wala interaction (AMB, service gesture, references) ek section mein.
- Point 4 rewrite: 11:00 form (₹5–10 lakh income), OTPs, 11:16 Trinity activation, bank approval ka role, 18:34 "your request" intimation, 8 July upgrade, aur 2026 mein "relationship value" wala contradiction — sab timestamps se logically frame kiya, bina allegation ke, sirf questions ke roop mein.
- Lien point update: lien removed, par ₹1,000 credit nahi hua — remitter ki 15 May 2026 request + follow-up ke baad bhi.
- Relief ek consolidated section mein sabse neeche.

Subject: Formal Grievance — AMB Charges, Unreleased ₹1,000, Debit Card Charges and Account-Change Records | A/c ending 0282
Dear Principal Nodal Officer,
I write in continuation of my grievance dated 29 April 2026 and the Bank's response dated 4 May 2026 under reference 42161487. The service gesture extended by the Bank is acknowledged as such; however, the following matters remain unresolved. The facts below are drawn from the Bank's and Kotak Securities' own communications and their timestamps.
1. Events of 7 July 2022
My savings account is a Kotak 811 zero-balance account, opened in June 2021 through the Kotak 811 mobile application. On 7 July 2022, the records show the following sequence:
- 10:53 — KMBL emailed that debit card ending 8572 had been permanently hotlisted "as per your request." I had made no such request and had raised no complaint concerning the card.
- 11:00 — Kotak Securities emailed the Trinity registration form (linking the savings, demat and trading accounts), recording my annual income as ₹5–10 lakh. The form was executed through OTPs obtained from me that morning.
- 11:08 — Kotak Securities confirmed opening of the trading account.
- 11:16 — KMBL confirmed issuance of new debit card ending 9083; at the same time, Kotak Securities confirmed the Trinity account as activated, i.e. the savings–demat–trading mapping was complete.
- 18:34 — KMBL emailed under service request 1-20474723823: "we have received your account variant change request."
- 8 July 2022 — KMBL confirmed, in response to the same service request, that the account variant had been upgraded to Kotak Edge.
For clarity, the Trinity account is not a separate product; it is the mapping of the three accounts. Since the savings account lies within the Bank's operating domain, the Trinity mapping could complete only upon the Bank's approval of the savings-account linkage. That approval was given while the form recorded an annual income of ₹5–10 lakh against a zero-balance 811 account whose actual profile was materially below that band.
2. Inconsistency in the Bank's 2026 response
In its response of 4 May 2026 under reference 42161487, the Bank stated that the variant change was made by the Bank "based on the relationship value maintained with the bank during the year 2022." This does not reconcile with the Bank's own email of 7 July 2022, 18:34, which recorded the same change as my request under 1-20474723823. Both positions cannot be correct, and the following requires clarification:
- If the variant change was Bank-initiated on relationship value, who raised service request 1-20474723823, and why was it recorded as my request?
- If the OTPs obtained on the morning of 7 July 2022 pertained to the Trinity mapping, on what authorisation did the Bank approve the ₹5–10 lakh income entry and the variant change?
- If those OTPs pertained to the variant change, under what mandate were the demat and trading accounts opened the same morning?
3. Debit card and the ₹399 charge
- The hotlisting of card 8572 and issuance of card 9083 on 7 July 2022 were not requested by me. No card charge was levied at that time, and no fee schedule or disclosure was ever provided to me.
- After my grievance of 29 April 2026 and the reversion of the account to the zero-balance variant, the Bank has begun levying a ₹399 debit-card charge. Charges I previously paid were approximately ₹299.
Please clarify whether the card fee was earlier waived on account of the account variant, the basis for ₹399 as against the earlier ₹299, and the disclosure under which any fee is levied on a card I did not request.
4. Grievance dated 29 April 2026 — AMB charges, service gesture and references
- My grievance disputed AMB charges totalling ₹1,509.53. The interaction of 29 April–6 May 2026 was assigned the collective number 42161487, recorded as a "Query Status Update" rather than a complaint reference.
- The Bank stated that ₹1,526 would be reversed as a service gesture; the statement records aggregate credits of ₹1,525.15, with no charge-wise allocation. Two AMB entries of ₹590 each appear unreversed.
- References 42370090 and 42394474 are both recorded as "Charge reversal", without stated scope.
- On 24 July 2026, a Bank representative stated that certain 2022 service-request records could not be accessed following a system change.
The dispute of ₹1,509.53 remains pending. No month-wise calculation, consent record, KFS or governing terms have been provided to date.
5. ₹1,000 — lien removed, credit not received
A Bank representative stated that ₹1,000 of the credited amount was not withdrawable due to a lien arising from a remitter complaint. The remitter submitted a written cancellation request on 15 May 2026, followed by a reminder. The lien has since been removed; however, more than 80 days after the cancellation request, no corresponding ₹1,000 credit or increase in my withdrawable balance is reflected.
Relief sought
- Credit/release of ₹1,000 into my available balance, with the complete ledger trail from the remitter's cancellation request (15 May 2026) through lien removal to date.
- Charge-wise allocation of the service gesture, reconciliation of ₹1,526 against ₹1,525.15, and reversal of the two ₹590 AMB entries or the calculation supporting them.
- Validation or reversal of AMB charges of ₹1,509.53, with the governing terms, consent/KFS record and month-wise calculation.
- For 7 July 2022: the authentication/OTP logs (purpose and channel of each OTP), the instruction records underlying the hotlisting of card 8572 and issuance of card 9083, the source document and approver of the ₹5–10 lakh income entry, the Bank-side approval records for the Trinity savings-account linkage, and the initiator, channel and complete audit trail of service request 1-20474723823.
- The card-fee disclosure applicable at issuance, the basis of the current ₹399 charge, and reversal of any charge not supported by prior disclosure.
- Confirmation of the formal complaint reference allotted to my grievance dated 29 April 2026; the scope, action taken and closure reason for references 42161487, 42370090 and 42394474; and preservation of all relevant records. Where any requested record is unavailable, a formal statement to that effect with the applicable retention position.
Please provide a point-wise written response, the identified records and the stated relief within 30 days. My grievance dated 29 April 2026 remains pending and is neither withdrawn nor settled by the service gesture.
Yours faithfully,
Farhan Abdullah
